NONOYAN MÉXICO
NONOYAN MÉXICO is the first of a series of conceptual residential developments in the country of Mexico. The name ‘Nonoyan’ originates from the Nahuatl word meaning “where one lives”. The goal of NONOYAN as a brand and concept is to bring luxury residential and mixed use projects into the country, promoting an architectural trajectory I believe is under-appreciated in Latin America, bringing countries like Mexico to the forefront of architectural innovation.
This specific example was designed as a 53 floor, two-tower, 800 foot/243 meter tall residential-only development. The towers would conceptually be the tallest residential buildings in Mexico, and tied with each other as the fourth tallest in the country overall. Their current setting, a general, non-specific but Mexican-esque neighborhood, was inspired by neighborhoods like Polanco and Santa Fe, both located in Mexico City, where the towers would ideally overlook parks like Bosque de Chapultepec and Parque La Mexicana. These neighborhoods are also some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, tying in luxury with a Mexican way of life.
The renders were made by blending sketches and plans I made for the project, a 3D Rhino model, and some existing inspiration pictures (mainly of Mexican landscapes for the views), with the use Artificial Intelligence and Photoshop. This was used primarily to realistically visualize each project, creating the sensation the buildings really exist when looking at the images. The renderings were further refined and changed using Photoshop and photo editing products.
Location specific NONOYAN developments to come.
